We have two products in development. Ovidius Smart Data and Ovidius Smart Connect and we have applied for trademarks for both.
Ovidius Smart Data
Precise reporting from imprecise data sources
Ovidius Smart Data is a machine learning application deployed in AWS which auto-corrects and compensates for erroneous or missing data points emanating from telemetry devices operating in hostile environments with the capabilities of forecasting future trends of the data. The business advantage is that it greatly improves the accuracy and reliability of reports drawn from such data sources.
The first version of the product is being used by one of our clients, Capital Water Systems. By using it they have automated a previously manual reporting process with a 300 reduction factor in time and effort.
This version was developed by Anand Soni and Dongming Guo (GMIT Intern student) with support from Ganesh Sakthivel and Sourav Bhattacharya. We are doing a small uplift to generalise the application, simplify the deployment and improve the user management.
Ovidius Smart Connect
Addressing cost and complexity of creating CI/CD pipelines through our unique automation technology
Ovidius Smart Connect is a DevSecOps framework created by Sidero which recommends, selects, and validates the code repositories, build tools, test frameworks, deployment options and automated security checks needed to build a robust pipeline. It can do this for a variety of software development technologies and deployment environments.
The Pipeline Generator works by gathering user input via a configuration UI, the Configurator. The Configurator then passes this data to a backend installer engine which installs the chosen software and organises them into a CI/CD flow.
The main use cases are for rapid creation of new pipelines for diverse development environments, to validate and improve existing code repositories, to add comprehensive security validation to a CI/CD pipeline and report the vulnerabilities.
Finally, as everyone is wondering what is the connection with Ovidius -- Ovidius was a Roman Poet and one of his famous works was an epic called Metamorphoses, a euphemism for transformation.
